There’s nothing more awesome in the garden than long lasting flowers. Even though daylily individual flowers only last a day or two, the entire plant usually produces a long series of flowers spanning several weeks. That, in my book, is good enough for me to put the daylily in my group of favorite long lasting flowers in my July Denver garden. Don’t you think?
Over the years I’ve collected several varieties of daylilies. Not all of them have grown into their final size yet. Many of them are continuing to only producing a handful of flower stalks. But still I love them so.
One thing I really love about them is that they are so very easy to transplant and to divide up. Also, they are not picky about soil, which is a good thing considering my soil that I can create clay pots out of. LOL!
So without further ado, here are pictures I’ve taken over the last few weeks of my darling, lovely daylilies. Hope you enjoy them.

Beautiful photos! I love the double daylilies!
I know! I’m hooked on doubles for most everything. I even stumbled upon a double balloon flower plant in my garden I didn’t even know I had.
